Toshi will show you how a drum set can be played with the guitar and bass with the example of “Billie’s Bounce”. In this chapter, you will learn the techniques of swing including right hand ride pattern, and accompaniment practices of bass drum and snare drum.
Chapter 2 – Advanced Brush Technique
Toshi will focus on basic brush techniques including Circle Stroke, 8 Figure, Shoulder Strokey Circle with Legato, and The Cheat. Toshi will also demonstrate how you can use brush to play different rhythms, downbeat and upbeat.
Chapter 3 – Solo Concepts
Introduction and practice of diverse Solo kit drumming including Develop The Groove, Use Rudiments, Play Like Melody, Feature One Instrument and Polyrhythms.
Chapter 4 – Latin Grooves
Introduction to famous Latin rhythms including Bossa Nova, Samba, Cha Cha, Mambo, Mazabique, and Songo.
