- Master Degree in art with a major in
musicology from the National Taipei University of Arts in Taiwan.
- Recipient of a scholarship of Berklee College of Music and started
majoring in Tenor Saxophone Performance and Film Scoring in the summer
of 2000.
- Private studies with Bill Pierce and George Garzone for tenor saxophone
techniques and improvisation.
- Influenced by Hal Crook and Ed Tomassi for performance in jazz improvisation
and played in the Scholarship Project band in Berklee.
- Participations including in Miles Davis Electric Ensemble led by
Ken Cervenka, Latin Jazz Ensemble led by bassist Oscar Stagnaro of
Paquito D’revira, Charlie Parker Ensemble, New Orleans Jazz Ensemble.
- Awarded in Film Scoring Achievement by Berklee in 2003 and had her
recital with George Garzone in Lawrence and Alma Berk Recital Hall
and graduated from Berklee in the same year.
- Residencies in Blue Note Jazz Club in Taipei every Friday, UPE Jazz
Band, Taichung Jazz Festival in 2003 and 2004, Tamsui Waterfront Jazz
Festival in 2004.
- Recordings including Love Love Love of Taiwanese pop singer Jolin
Tsai’s album, and “Sister Oyster.”
- A member of Metamorphosis Jazztet. Was the lead alto saxophonist
for the Dizzy Jazz Band and Taipei All Star Big Band in Taiwan.
